Our Corten steel planters were first choice for MG Motor company to add the finishing touch to their London HQ office refurbishment.
Our specialist planter supply service Passion for Pots were contacted by the lead contractor on the refurbishment, Vanguard Contractors Ltd, to source and supply a range of Corten steel planters to compliment the interior design.
A great choice both indoors and outdoors, Corten steel has seen a rise in popularity in recent years due to the wide range of options available and the industrial-style finish. Originally developed as a material for heavy manufacturing, Corten steel is now available to both commercial and domestic customers to compliment design-led projects. For the MG Motor Company we recommended a matching set of large-scale planters for architectural planting which would form focal points in the interior design.
As the distinctive colour of weathered Corten steel appears after time outside exposed to the elements, we supplied a pre-weathered product to ensure that the required Corten steel look could be achieved in an indoor situation.
A total of 11 planters were used on this project in two different sizes. Selected to compliment the prestigious office space and evoke the manufacturing history of the MG Motor Company, the planters arrived on site already full transformed with their stunning rusted patina.
Formed in 1924, the MG Motor Company is a long, prestigious history and we were delighted to have the opportunity to supply our products into their London HQ. The finished planting scheme included ornamental palms and grasses, topped off with a coordinating aggregate.
The Corten steel planters used for this project are part of our Oklahoma range which also includes cube shaped planters, water features and fire pits. At this location we delivered and installed four 2meter rectangular troughs and seven tapered vases in pre-weathered condition. The lead contractor was happy to take delivery on time and on budget and the final, fully planted results are suitably impressive.
